Your prayer life is between you and God. SoulFed has no account, keeps your reading and prayer history on your phone, shows no ads, and never sells your data.
SoulFed does not have accounts, and there is nothing to sign in to. These stay on your phone and are never sent to us:
Depending on your Apple and device settings, this may be included in Apple's encrypted device backup. SoulFed does not offer account backup, cross-device sync, or guaranteed recovery. If you delete the app, the local data goes with it.
When you choose which apps to pause, you use Apple's own private picker. Apple hands the app back to SoulFed as an opaque token — a sealed reference we cannot read, translate into an app name, or transmit. It is stored in a protected container shared only with SoulFed's own Screen Time extensions on your device.
This is why the pause screen says “This app can wait” instead of naming the app you opened. SoulFed genuinely does not know which app it is.
Every passage, reflection, and prayer ships inside the app, written and reviewed before release. Opening a day's word sends nothing anywhere: no server request, no AI generation while you read, and no transmission of your name, season, or what you have read. The reading and prayer flow works with no network at all.
Pause reminders and the catch-up nudge are scheduled locally on your device by iOS. They are optional, and nothing about them is sent to us.
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple. SoulFed never sees your payment details. To keep purchases working across reinstalls, the app derives a pseudonymous commerce identifier on your device by one-way hashing an Apple-verified transaction value; the original Apple value is never stored or transmitted. That identifier is shared with Apple's StoreKit and with Superwall, which presents the subscription screen. It is not a login, and it is not tied to your name or email.
Superwall also receives internal app, device, paywall, transaction, and subscription-status events to operate subscription screens and attribute purchases. Superwall performs first-install attribution matching using pseudonymous app, device, and vendor identifiers, plus app, device, locale, screen, and network information, to determine how the app install was acquired. This collection remains on when optional PostHog product analytics is off. SoulFed does not send Superwall your name, email, prayers, Scripture, saved words, season of life, or Screen Time choices.
SoulFed can collect a small amount of pseudonymous product analytics through PostHog, to understand which parts of the app help and which do not. This collection starts after you acknowledge the Privacy Policy during onboarding. You can turn it off any time in Settings.
When analytics is on, we collect an allowlisted set of interaction events, a random per-install identifier, the pseudonymous commerce identifier described above, and approximate country, region, and city inferred from the network request. Session recording is disabled everywhere in the app. We never send:
Release versions of SoulFed use Sentry for limited crash and error reports that help us keep the app reliable. These essential diagnostics are always on in Release builds and are separate from the optional PostHog product analytics choice.
A report may include the app version, iOS and device model, a stack trace, and limited technical error context. SoulFed disables Sentry's default personal-information collection, network breadcrumbs and request capture, automatic breadcrumbs, session tracking, and performance tracing. We do not attach your prayer or reading history, Scripture or reflections, saved words, name, season, Screen Time choices, commerce identifier, or analytics install identifier.
Sentry receives the network request, but the SoulFed project has Sentry's Prevent Storing of IP Addresses control enabled. We use diagnostic reports only to investigate app reliability.
On soulfed.app, PostHog measures pages viewed and visit timing, the referring site and UTM campaign when available, browser, device type, operating system, language, and approximate country, region, and city. PostHog receives the IP address from the network request and processes it to add those approximate location properties. We use this information to understand how people find and use the website.
This configuration does not set PostHog cookies or use local or session storage. SoulFed does not identify website visitors and does not connect website visits to your app analytics identity. URL query values are removed before page events are sent. Automatic interaction capture, session replay, surveys, logs, errors, and tracing are disabled.
SoulFed shows no advertising, uses no advertising identifier, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not combine it with third-party data for targeted advertising.
SoulFed is rated 4+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
