Your prayer life is between you and God. SoulFed has no account, keeps your reading and prayer history on your phone, shows no ads, and never sells your data.
SoulFed does not have accounts, and there is nothing to sign in to. These stay on your phone and are never sent to us:
Depending on your Apple and device settings, this may be included in Apple's encrypted device backup. SoulFed does not offer account backup, cross-device sync, or guaranteed recovery. If you delete the app, the local data goes with it.
When you choose which apps to pause, you use Apple's own private picker. Apple hands the app back to SoulFed as an opaque token — a sealed reference we cannot read, translate into an app name, or transmit. It is stored in a protected container shared only with SoulFed's own Screen Time extensions on your device.
This is why the pause screen says “This app can wait” instead of naming the app you opened. SoulFed genuinely does not know which app it is.
Every passage, reflection, and prayer ships inside the app, written and reviewed before release. Opening a day's word makes no content-server request and performs no AI generation while you read. SoulFed does not transmit your name, season, the passage, reflection, prayer, or what you have read. The optional analytics described below may record a fully masked navigation view, but not that devotional content. The reading and prayer flow itself works with no network at all.
Pause reminders and the catch-up nudge are scheduled locally on your device by iOS. They are optional, and nothing about them is sent to us.
SoulFed shows no ads in the app. SoulFed uses Meta's iOS SDK directly to measure which Meta ads lead to installs. Meta's bundled privacy manifests declare a linked device identifier used for tracking and for third-party advertising, app functionality, and analytics; unlinked other data for analytics; and unlinked crash data for app functionality. Meta also declares ep1.facebook.com as a tracking domain. SoulFed does not send Meta your name, email, prayers, Scripture, reflections, saved words, season of life, or Screen Time choices.
Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt controls whether Meta can access the iOS advertising identifier. If you deny or restrict that permission, Meta's non-advertising-identifier measurement continues using other permitted signals. You can change advertising-identifier access in Apple's Settings under Privacy & Security and Tracking. This is separate from the optional PostHog product-analytics control below.
SoulFed can collect a small amount of pseudonymous product analytics through PostHog, to understand which parts of the app help and which do not. This collection starts after you acknowledge the Privacy Policy during onboarding. You can turn it off any time in Settings.
When analytics is on, we collect an allowlisted set of product interactions and screen names, a random per-install identifier, app version/build, and approximate country, region, and city inferred from the network request. PostHog uses a random anonymous identifier and does not create person profiles.
We also use fully masked screen replay to understand navigation and drop-off. Text inputs, images, and sensitive app surfaces are masked. Replay does not capture network requests or app logs. Raw element autocapture is off. Production replay remains subject to signed-device privacy and App Review verification. We never send:
We limit PostHog access to authorized operators and retain analytics only for the configured product-analysis period. You may contact us to request access to or deletion of vendor-held analytics. Because SoulFed has no account and uses pseudonymous identifiers, we may need enough information to locate the relevant record and may be unable to connect a record to you.
Release versions of SoulFed use Sentry for limited crash and error reports that help us keep the app reliable. These essential diagnostics are always on in Release builds and are separate from the optional PostHog product analytics choice.
A report may include the app version, iOS and device model, a stack trace, and limited technical error context. SoulFed disables Sentry's default personal-information collection, network breadcrumbs and request capture, automatic breadcrumbs, session tracking, and performance tracing. We do not attach your prayer or reading history, Scripture or reflections, saved words, name, season, Screen Time choices, or analytics install identifier.
Sentry receives the network request, but the SoulFed project has Sentry's Prevent Storing of IP Addresses control enabled. We use diagnostic reports only to investigate app reliability.
On soulfed.app, PostHog provides banner-free cookieless website analytics, separate from the optional anonymous iOS app analytics described above. It measures page views and visit timing; page titles; page and session-entry URLs, including query parameters but excluding URL fragments; browser-provided referrer URLs and domains; standard campaign parameters, advertising click identifiers, and search-referral keywords when present; standard browser, device, operating system, language, screen, viewport, and timezone context; App Store call-to-action clicks identified only by placement; and Core Web Vitals values with SDK-provided performance details.
To derive a website identity, PostHog processes the IP address from the network request and a bounded raw user-agent value as transient hashing inputs. It replaces them with a daily rotating server identity and strips the inputs before reporting. This configuration does not set PostHog cookies or use local or session storage. SoulFed does not create website person profiles, recognize a visitor across days, or make returning-user or cross-day retention claims. SoulFed does not connect website visits to your app analytics identity. It does not add website GeoIP location properties or IP-based bot enrichment.
If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, SoulFed suppresses website analytics on the next full page load. Autocapture and other broad interaction capture, dead-click capture, heatmaps, session replay, surveys, feature flags, exception capture, logs, tracing, Web Vitals attribution, and network timing remain off.
Because the project token is public, CTA and other public-token website event counts are unauthenticated, best-effort, directional signals that may be missing or spoofed. CTA clicks are not App Store installs or revenue records, and website counts are not authenticated records of people, sessions, or business outcomes.
SoulFed shows no advertising inside the app and never sells your data. Meta ad measurement is limited to the install measurement described above. SoulFed does not use a mobile measurement partner and does not send spiritual content or Screen Time choices to Meta.
SoulFed is rated 4+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
